March 25-29: JJSC Swim-A-Thon!
100% of the proceeds to help cover overall costs of the team.
WHAT’S A SWIM-A-THON?
The Swim-A-Thon is our team’s largest fundraiser and a great way to motivate and train our swimmers.Team members raise money by asking for pledges or flat donations for swimming lengths of the pool.
WHEN IS THE SWIM-A-THON?
March 25-29 - During Regular Practice Time
Mon, Wed, Fri - Troy Middle School Tues, Thurs - Mohonasen High School
During the week of March 25th, swimmers will use their regular practice times to swim as many lengths as the can. Swimmers may attend extra practices this week at no cost to get more time in the pool for the Swim-A-Thon.
WHAT ARE OUR FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS?
Each swimmer is required to participate in this fundraiser. If you do not wish to participate in the Swim-A-Thon, or cannot ask for pledges, you may opt out by paying the fundraising minimum.
WHAT ARE WE RAISING MONEY FOR?
As a non-profit Jammin’ Jellyfish Swim Club relies on member support to keep the Swim Team affordable for all families. Your fundraising helps keep registration fees reasonable, and pay for coaches and pool space.
WHAT ARE THE RULES?
Coach Nick has developed a precalculated set of practice drills that will provide a goal number of lengths for each practice day. A swimmer simply needs to complete the swim set designated for each day to determine how many lengths completed. A coach or parent will keep track of how far each lane of swimmers progresses in their set to calculate the number of the lengths* and present each swimmer with a length count at the end of their session.
